Behavior at Practice/Meets
Good afternoon parents,
We are reaching out to you all regarding some disappointing behavioral issues that the coaching staff has noticed this week. In all three of our practice groups it seems that the kids are having a hard time keeping their hands to themselves and it has started to create some tense situations. Additionally, we have heard from both swimmers and parents of this issue occurring at swim meets. We make the swimmers safety our number one priority on this team and while we are able to control these situations at practice, we are unable to have eyes on our swimmers in the same way at a meet. Moving forward we will be talking to each group at practice tomorrow, and any violations that we notice at practice will be followed by a consequence. As far as swim meets go, we will do as much as we can to monitor the kids, but should there be a situation that you or your child needs one of the coaches for, please do not hesitate to find of us and ask for help. Creating an environment that is safe and fun for all swimmers will continue to be our top priority.
Please feel free to reach out to myself or Emma directly if you have any questions or concerns!
